Roadmap
What's shipped, what's next.
SuperScreencast is developed in the open. This board tracks real work — items move when they land, not when they’re promised. Promises are free; downloads aren’t.
Free camera drag in the preview
Position the camera bubble by dragging it directly in the floating preview — anchors stay as the keyboard-fast path.
Streaming reconnection
Clearer retry, failure, and recovery states with honest "connected ≠ seen" messaging.
HiDPI polish across panel & preview
Crisp raster text and controls at every display scaling factor.
Distro packaging
Flatpak builds and distro packages, so installs stop requiring a compiler.
Virtual microphone refinement
Smarter pairing of the virtual mic with the virtual camera for calls.
Cycle presets
Named cycle orders so keyboard layout-cycling matches how you actually present.
More capture backends
Broader hardware and compositor support, with honest per-backend capability reporting.
Accessibility pass
Full keyboard operation review, screen-reader labels, and contrast audit across panel and preview.
Localization
The panel speaks more languages than C.
Suggest a feature
This board is a conversation.
The roadmap isn’t a promise list — it’s a queue, and the queue takes requests. If SuperScreencast is missing something you’d reach for every week, say so. The most convincing arguments move the fastest.
Shipped
Recently landed.
RTMP / RTMPS output with safe start
A third output lane: connect to one destination, always opening in solid pause until you deliberately reveal the composition.
Control panel redesign
Task cards for the three outputs, two-level drill-in composition editing, drafts with apply/revert, and a pinned status bar.
8-point camera anchors & live sizing
Corner and midpoint anchors with a size slider that updates the preview in real time.
Global pause with correct restore
One action pauses everything; resuming restores exactly what was running — and nothing that wasn't.
Cut & resume with countdown
Cut media time and continue the same file after a visible countdown — even with the panel closed, via the preview's temporary countdown window.
Everything shipped is in the download today.
The Now column is what you'll get next.
