# SuperScreencast

Requirements: GNU make, a C compiler, pkg-config, FFmpeg development libraries, PipeWire, Fontconfig, FreeType, a system font; Xorg libraries or Wayland GLib GDBus; optional SDL3/SDL3_ttf panel. Virtual camera requires an existing v4l2loopback device.

The daemon command is `cast --headless`; it operates independently of the panel. Open `cast panel` or `cast preview on` separately. Start virtual output with `cast virtual start`, then deliberately reveal with `cast virtual resume`. Record to a new local path with `cast record start /absolute/path/test.mkv`; stop with `cast record stop` and wait for finalization in `cast status --json`. Streaming uses a mode-600 key file configured through `stream.key_file`; `cast stream start` connects paused and `cast stream resume` reveals. Agents must not start public broadcasts or handle real credentials; use local test recordings.
